How it works
Pay, wait about five minutes, open your Mac.
-
01 · Pay
An email and a card. That's checkout.
No account to make and no form about your project. Pick a day, a week or a month, and pay.
-
02 · Watch it get ready
Setting up
machine-03… Ready.Checkout hands you to a page that sets up your Mac while you watch. Usually under five minutes, and you can close the tab.
-
03 · The email
Your links land in your inbox.
Your machine name, username and password, and two links: one for the terminal, one for the screen. It also has the way into your portal.
-
04 · Open it
Click Open screen. You're on your Mac.
Xcode, the Simulator, your whole desktop, in a browser tab. Prefer native tools? SSH and Screen Sharing work from Windows, Mac and Linux. How connecting works.
Built for
Whoever needs a Mac they don't have.

CI and build runners
Your team's builds shouldn't live on one person's MacBook.
-

Give your coding agent a real Mac to build and test on.

Client work
Standard adds a 256 GB drive, because Xcode and simulators don't fit in 256.
Your portal
You stay in control.
Everything you'd do to a Mac on your desk, from a page that's yours. No ticket, no waiting on anyone.
- Restart whenever you need to. If it doesn't come back, you move to the spare.
- Fresh install erases it and sets macOS up from scratch, in about an hour.
- SSH keys reach your Mac within a minute, and come back after a fresh install.
- Time left is always on the page, with Extend right next to it.

Where it lives
In the aus-1 rack, with a spare.
Central US. A real Mac mini on a shelf, cabled to the switch and plugged into switched power. Not a virtual machine, not a slice of a shared server.
Point at a Mac in the rack to see which ones are free.
-
Switched power
A stuck Mac gets power-cycled from here, at any hour, without anyone driving in.
-
A spare, always
If yours doesn't come back, you move to the spare and the downtime is credited. Uptime is public, every day.

Who runs this
One person, on purpose.
I'm Nate. I bought these Macs, racked them, and wrote the software that wipes each one and sets it up again between customers. I started My Own Mac because getting a Mac for iOS work shouldn't mean buying one, or renting a slice of someone's shared server and hoping it's fast enough. When you email support, you're emailing me.
Live uptime and incidentsQuestions
The ones people ask first.
Is it shared with anyone?
No. One Mac, one customer. Nobody else has an account on it while it's yours.
Is it wiped between customers?
Yes. When a rental ends, the Mac is fully erased and set up from scratch before anyone else can rent it. Any attached drive is erased too. The wipe and security policy explains exactly how.
Where is it, and will it feel slow?
Region aus-1, in the central US. The terminal feels local almost anywhere. The screen is smooth across North America and usable from Europe. Connecting has an honest take on what remote desktop feels like from far away.
What if it breaks?
Hit Restart in your portal. If it doesn't come back, you're moved to a spare Mac, and downtime is credited automatically.
Why not just buy a Mac?
If you need macOS most days, buy one. If you need it a few days a year, five day passes cost $60If you need it a few weeks a year, a week costs $45, against $899 for a new Mac mini at Apple. Monthly makes sense when the Mac has to be always on, for CI or agents, and you'd rather not run the hardware yourself.
